eduard Degelow Pfalz
« on: December 21, 2014, 04:12:59 PM »
Eduard 8046 Pfalz D.IIIa early kit. Scheme may never have existed like this as photos show an all black version or one with lozenge wings. I liked the black/silver combination that the kit depicts so that's what I did. Used floquil grimy black to have it look a bit faded. Added pe seatbelts, radiator lines, and whatever the lines are to the left side ( fuel or oil ? ). These left side lines need to be a smaller diameter though, oh well - next time !   Had a coule small details to finish up like the radiator tower, paint control wires, and add some dirt when I took the photos but it's done now.

Nice build Jeff, Degelow might be my favorite German pilot.

A really nice one! I like that colour combination and I am glad someone else built this bird in silver-black, too (as I did some years ago and was told it was wrong  ;)).
That faded black also looks cool. Congratulations!

That is a really nice looking Pfalz Jeff, the scheme you used is very attractive, a very well finished model.

Nice work all round, Jeff. Your work on the difficult all black fuselage is very convincing. An all round clean and very pretty build.
Cheers,

Ain't she a nice looking bird, apart too thick fuel lines (as you are also aware)...
Bravo!

Very nice. I plan to build the same plane, so your work is going in reference folder ;)
The process meters...  therefore so much models are stuck between start and finish
