Like Bo,I think your fuel tank came out very nice! I think your interior wood is great. Perfect honey tone, and not overstated. JMHO of course :D

thank you gentlemen for your kind words. I am working on the interior still but have a couple of questions. Can anyone suggest want paints to get for the mauve and green for the upper wing colours. I use Tamiya and Gunze/Mr Hobby acrylics but colours called for in the kit instructions sound wrong to me. Also has anyone used the decal sheet that I have, I am thinking of ordering the Pheon ones to use instead?

Cheers

Anthony

Brilliant start, Anthony.  I may be starting an Albatros next, so I'll be following along closely.
Cheers,

Coming along nicely !  I have used FCM decals and they were fine.

Thanks all for your support. Back into this after xmas/new year and looking after my kids whilst on school holidays. I spent an hr or so putting the cockpit together and am about to start on the engine.

Cheers and thanks for looking

The cockpit interior is looking really good, you did a great job on the seat, looking forward to seeing what you do with the engine.

Thanks Des.

I have managed to do a bit more. I actually built and painted the engine and exhaust the other day but only uploaded the photos today.

The fuselage is joined and I undercoated in Tamiya fine white spray. I think the nail heads look good and I am happy with the look.

Yesterday I sprayed the Jasta 5 red and green on the tail and this morning I started drawing some wood grain over the white using a pencil- an idea I borrowed from another build I saw on the net. Hopefully this will show throw the white rectangles of the decals.

Thanks for looking. More to come soon

Anthony

The engine is looking really good as is the tail green and red, I like the nail heads. What have you used to mark the wood grain pattern on the side of the fuselage.

Thanks Martin and Des.

I am just using a lead pencil. I wanted to use grey but you think my kids had a grey pencil between the 3 of them! I am going to go over it with a thin coat of white before I gloss and decal over it all.

Seen the same technique on a build on Facebook... think he used different tan and brown pencils!

 Build is looking great!!!

This one is coming along nicely. The pit, and tail markings are excellent! I am looking forward to seeing the results of the pencil graining.
