Thanks Edo, for your information, will try again, indeed I sprayed a matt varnish before trying my pencils (they are water"-blendable" as well).

I agree with your fear to spoil the large surfaces to have the fabric texture, that's why I was asking... which glue did you use for your experiment?

Edo,
   I really like the effect you produced for CDL. I'd try it for all your CDL surfaces, I think it would look great. Maybe try it on one lower wing surface and, if you don't like it you can strip it and revert back to your normal surface. The seat belts appeared far too big to me as well so I used some HGW's I had left over that were nearly identical. (most of their sets do 2 models)
    I'm following your Build closely to see all of the things I could, or should have done on mine, looking very good so far!

Beautiful work, Edo!  I like the fabric effect you've achieved with glue, but a safer, more consistent result might be achieved with the Aviattic CDL sheets.  I love that prop and your cockpit painting.  Personally, I would keep the belt, but maybe hang one side of it over the cockpit coaming to expose the seat.  Just an idea.

Antonio, I am still trying to put at service an old Tamyia 'lemon' liquid cement I bought some years back. The shopkeeper told me it had a good smell so SWMBO would not argue.... unfortunately he omitted to say it is a lot worse than 'regular' thin cement from the same manufacturer >:(

Your DH.2 is looking brilliant Edo, the engine turned out extremely good and your wood treatment is great. I like your idea to try and simulate the fabric texture using glue and fabric pressed into it, but as already said, the Aviattic fabric decals are superb and would be a lot easier to use in my opinion. Keep up the good work Edo, it is coming together beautifully.

sure aviattic sheets looks terrific....

btw, the upper reserve tank has a transparent pipe... why transparent? in the instruction it has to be painted gray or brass.... any suggestions?

It is not finished yet, so not the details are set.
I painted it with the pencil technique.

   The transparent pipe is actually a visual "sight gauge, you'll notice it goes in at the top of the tank and also the bottom. The brass or grey refers to the fittings at each end, the middle pipe being glass. This feature was not included on the later production batches.
