WW1 aircraft from LEGO
« on: December 14, 2014, 06:55:50 AM »
Last weekend I visited with my 8 yrs old son a fantastic exposition of Lego structures. And to my surprise among many interesting objects I have found an airfield

with two WW1 aircraft!

I wish Lego would release more, I think this one is still available!

I see at least three in your photo -- isn't that an Albatros in front of the vehicle and the building?

Ian, that Camel is a real Lego set as far as I know. But I suppose the ones I saw at the exhibition were just built from the generally available blocks, not from dedicated sets.

Bo, you have absolutely keen eyes and I have poor memory. Indeed, there was something Albatros-like. here is a cropped photo:

You are correct Prez, and I must say those lego "scratchbuilt" aircraft are very good!
