Junkers J-1

I don't remember if I ever posted any pics of my J-1 here. My first WNW kit, incorporating several of Des's ideas to accurise the kit. An overview, and a few detail shots. I tried to make it look like the plane landed, and swerved up onto the model base.

A great build Mike, I've always found this a/c so interesting. Do tell me though, what's the story on the ribbon you've placed in front of the a/c?  Nice at having it swerve onto the base, it should have wiped its shoes. ;)

This is a wonderful looking model Mike, very well finished off. Not the prettiest of aeroplanes but it holds a certain amount of appeal, well done.

Yes, great build, indeed! Many thanks for sharing, there are very few WNW J.1 around, especially in recent years.

Certainly not one of my favourites, but you have made a gorgeous
model of the J-1, Mike.  Great work!

Cheers,

The paintwork is "top drawer" and more, Mike, and the detail is superb. Beautiful work!

The mud on the wheels is particularly effective and the finer details of the cockpits and engine are super. A bit of an ugly aeroplane to be sure, but you have made a little gem out of it.

I don't think Junkers did pretty aircraft, but you have made a lovely job of this beast, Mike. Well done!

Best wishes

A very nice paintjob on a very ugly aircraft. What is the story behind the ribbon you have placed in front of the model?

Well, Thank you all  for the kind comments! very much appreciated.
The wee ribbon is for a WWI veterans lapel on a suit jacket- sort of a "been there, done that". The crossed swords indicate a combat vet, if I remember correctly.
