My day job.
« on: December 05, 2014, 01:13:46 AM »
Here in New York I manage the model shop for the museum designers Ralph Appelbaum Associates. And today one of our projects was opened by HRH Prince Philip. I've been involved with this project for nearly two years now. I get to visit it in a couple of weeks. can't wait.

Very nice indeed!
And thanks for the reminder, it's been too long since I visited Hendon.

You've got my dream job, Adrian!  Well, one of them anyway.  Another would be to work at TVAL.

Cheers,
Bud

Bud,

many years ago I was offered the chance to move from London to New Zealand and work for Peter Jackson's WETA model shop on Lord of the Rings. Instead I married and eventually found my way to New York. The funny thing is the firm I'm at now is working with TVAL on something else. Small world.

Nigel,

Thanks, and a belated thanks for posting those images of the underside of my FE.2b from Telford.

Adrian.

You're welcome Adrian. It was a superb piece of work and I was happy to follow the viewing steer you wrote on the card. In fact I was there for a few minutes and was able to encourage others to do so too.

Best wishes
Nigel

Thanks very much Adrian for posting the link and giving us an insight into your job, you are extremely fortunate and to have ties with TVAL is a real bonus.

Next year on the great drive (about four or five weeks) through GB ( silver wedding anniversary) we hope to see this.

Good on you Adrian!  I already had my dream museum job many moons ago, so I know the feeling.
