AMC DH.2 1/32 Wingnut Wings
« on: November 25, 2014, 02:53:34 AM »
Here are some pics from my latest build. WnW DH.2 kit with HGW detail set and Taurus resin engine.

I added some details inside the nacelle with copper wires.

I painted and varnished propeller. Brass color from MM Metalizer series.

I am still fighting with micro parts of the engine :) Here is the engine so far

Greetings!

Rahmi

I like it. Mine is just a stage or two behind yours but I have had problems interpreting the 'wiring/tubing' from the Datafile and other sources. The kit's doubled 'tubing' on the port side seem to represent wrapped/sheathed pipes - but don't know what material/colour this was. Your copper wiring to the fuel-gauges on the starboard side look the business though.

Cheers,

Graham

Thanks a lot for your comments! Graham i used page 23 of Osprey's DH.2 vs Albatros D.I/D.II as reference for wiring. Copper wires will be coating with matt varnish, for oil pulsators (according to Osprey) i used my initiative :P

I worked on the engine last night, here is so far

the engine is great, is this the Taurus engine? Awesome build, few DH2 are being built at the moment and all are progressing into stunning models

This is looking fantastic so far, the added details in the cockpit and the work on the engine are superb, the propeller looks magnificent.

Wonderful start, Odysseus!  The cockpit looks amazing and
the addition of the copper tubing adds so much!  I am really
impressed with your start of the engine...great staining and
attention to detail.  I look forward to enjoying the rest of your
build.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
