Pup prop question
« on: November 02, 2014, 04:50:27 AM »
Hello, all,

How far forward of the cowling should the rear of the prop be on the WnW Pup? Mine seems to be a full 1/8" and just doesn't look right. I've not been able to find any photos shot in profile and am wondering if someone who's completed the build will take a measurement for me.

Cheers from an extremely autumnal day in NYC,
Michael

Michael,

The prop gap on the profiles in the WNW handbook looks about right from the images in theWindsock data file. Note though with the flatter profile Standard Motor Co. cowling (part A35) the gap is substantially bigger.

It sounds to me that you need to lose a little off the end of your crank however.

Isn't that what the Moel said to the baby at the Bris?

OK, thanks for this, Keith....you're confirming what I plan to do first thing in the AM. The help is much appreciated.

Cheers,
Michael
