Encore Se5a

Here is my depiction of a faded and tired Se5a. Please ignore the unfinished rigging, it is not my joy :) . Hope everyone likes.

Very nice work, Chris!  I've got this one in 1/48 scale and you've inspired me to move it to the top of the heap.
Cheers,
Bud

An excellent replica of a tired looking SE5a. Just wish that I could paint like that.

Seems as though I missed this one. I like your rendition of McCuddens bird. Very Nice to say the least! This is actually my next planned build after the WNW DVII.

Thanks so much everyone!  The standard of modeling here is so high that for anyone here to take notice of your build should be considered high praise :)

Thank you Rob and Nigel. I spent a lot of time on the finish, including experimenting on new (to me) techniques. I made a point of trying to make the finish to be varied and not monochromatic at all. Not sure how it shows up in my not-so-good photography but there is a lot of difference between the various areas of the plane. It is not up to the standard of much of the simply stunning work found on this site but I was pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for your comment!
