PE set for Revell's 1:72 Nieuport 28
« on: October 16, 2014, 12:06:28 AM »
While passing time looking through some of my saved suppliers, I found this which may be of interest to some of the small scale modellers here, it certainly looks like a huge improvement over the other PE set available:

This set and another in 1/48th scale, have been around a while. It is certainly worth while for either scale if only for the seat. The seat is the only correct shape for the Peach basket on the market. If you look up my 1/32nd build of the 2 8 you will see that I posted some pics courtesy of Ray Rimmel of the Nieuport 28 under restoration. The seat went from one side of the cockpit to the other and tied directly into the frame work. Also apparently in some cases, ( perhaps post war?) there was another wicker structure inside the first. It is good to be reminded of this set, thanks for your post!
