Grandparents for the first time
« on: October 04, 2014, 02:26:43 AM »
Hello All

Just to share with you the wonderful news that a few hours ago, our daughter Sarah, gave birth to our first grandchild, Ellis Andrew. Mother, father and baby are well, if exhausted. Grandparents, or 'Mami'  and 'Papi' as our French friends now call Ena and I, are delighted.

Best wishes
Nigel

Congratulations Nigel. I hope that your grandson will bring you much happiness and joy into the future. When he is able to hold a tube of glue and pieces of plastic you could start him on a new hobby……..

Dear Bob and LM

Thank you both very much. I'm just not clear yet which model should be his first build!

Best wishes

Congratulations Ena and Nigel on the birth of your first grandchild, I do hope that mother and child are both doing well. You and Ena will now have many years of happiness and joy by participating in the life of a beautiful little human being, a grandchild.

Congrats! I can only say that Grandchildren are a whole different story than children. Something about the bond and the way they affect you just makes your life full! I never believed until my grand daughter was born 10 years ago. You are in for a great experience in life

Thank you all so much.

Ena and I have just got to the hotel from the maternity unit of the hospital. Mother and baby are fine, as is Dad. We have been cooing and ahhhing as grandparents should.

It is such a precious moment and so lovely to be able to share it with forum friends.

Best wishes
Nigel
