Hansa-Brandenburg D.I scratch 1:144
« on: September 29, 2014, 03:27:42 PM »
Hello everybody,

after more than a year I finally finished this scratch build. There were many elements I had to rework (some of them up to four times) before I was satisfied with the result. There are several thing on the build that are not perfect (I am still learning), but all in all the modell meets the vision I had at the beginning.

Many thanks for all comments, advices and criticism.

Cheers

Ondra

After following your build and now seeing the finished model all I can say is wow, what an amazing achievement to create a model in such a miniature scale and to do it with excellent results, congratulations Ondra on a job very well done.

when talent and craftsmanship meet, we get such impressive results.

Thank for letting us take part in your work.

When you see the pictures, it is hard to imagine and believe, how small this H.B. D.I must be.
A model thrives on its overall impression and not on that every little disagreement over the original is hyped up as a disaster

This is a brilliant model Ondra! Looks perfect - it`s really hard to beleive it`s 1/144 and a scratchbuild model! You are a gifted modeller mate! Hope to see another under construction thread soon! Congrats! It`s a little gem!
Best regards
Filip

Truly phenomenal work, Ondra!  It's difficult to reconcile the realism with the minute size of this tiny masterpiece.  I can't wrap my head around it.  Simply stunning.

Incredible! You have amazing patience and skill to build this in 1/144, and from scratch! It appears much larger in the photos.
