Roland D.VIb, Jasta 59 mid to late 1918

Hi,
I have now made a start on my second build, which is a WNW Roland D.VIb, Jasta 59 mid to late 1918


I have made a start on the cockpit interior, for the Green i have used Tamiya Interior Grey Green XF76, and for the wood i used,for the base colours i used Vallejo Old wood, weathered wood, lightened down a bit, this was poilshed with a soft cloth, and a satin varnish applied, then after a couple of days i used Rowney Daler oils, one that was fully dry i over sprayed with a very diluted coats of Hobby colour Clear orange.
 


as always guys, any advise please, to inprove what I do is always greatly received

Have fun, the kit is really great (at least the Roland DVIa is) and I enjoyed every moment of the build. Don't forget te glue open overnight around the kit as you may find it assembled on the morning!
The best advice I can give - get the Aviattic Lozenge decals, they are immense improvement over the WnW stock decals.

Ive not been around for a while, due to an unexpected illness, that put me in hospital for a while, but it did give me the time to practice my wood effects so ive uploaded some pics of the cockpit interior, the seat has still to go in, The engine, just needs some weathering.
