R.A.F. FE.2b late WNW 1/32
« on: May 28, 2012, 02:33:49 AM »
Good Evening Gentlemen,

I have now started a new project, I have been building this now for a few weeks and some of you may have seen it on another site.
I will be building one of the night fighters available in the kit, option D, G & J Weir built A852 from 100 squadron. This being said I have deviated a little from the instructions as I preferred the look of the full lid for the magazine storage compartment in the observers area, as opposed to the two individual lids. I will also be finishing the struts and tail booms in a natural wood finish instead of the recommended matt black.

All comments, questions and criticisms welcome.

Best regards

Keith

Very lovely, Keith.  What a beautiful job you've done in the cockpit and a superb finish on the nacelle.
Cheers,
Bud

  Keith,
What can I say other than awesome my friend. I'm very much impressed with the interior and all those outstanding details. Not to mention the beautiful painting you've done on her wood  works. "Bravo" I'm also very interested on how you're handling the black monotone finish,to date the finish is looking very good. Keep these excellent update coming my friend and thanks for such an interesting thread.

That is looking very nice indeed! Is your natural wood technique the standard oils over acrylic?

Looking excellent Keith - super paint job.  Will you be doing extra engine detailing?  There's lots of good reference pics on the TVAL website.

The contrast between the black nacelle and natural wood tail boom will look very appealing in my opinion. Your woodwork looks very realistic and the build itself is immaculate.

Keith great  to see the build over here.
Fantastic work to date as to be expected
from you.
I think I mentioned to you that I'm building
the same machine but won't deviate from the
instructions.
