Top Drawer Snipe! I only hope that when I get around to mine, it will look half as good.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's Prym elastic?

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Wow, I am very appreciative of the warm welcome from everyone.  If I needed further proof that Des and the members have built a fantastic community here, I certainly have it.

Eindecker and Nigel, I have two Fokkers lined up for myself.  First up is the E.II/III, followed by the V.II F that will be part of the group build.

Bob, using the same raw materials as the master is no guaranty of comparable results!

Chris, the rigging material is Prym 977-770 Knitting-in Elastic:

Similar to EZ-Line, only a little flatter in profile, and white.  I colored it with a Silver Sharpie after installation.  I had some success dipping the elastic into my jar of MIG pigments; after shaking off the excess pigment, the thread maintained the color without any visible effect on the elastic quality.  I didn't have an appropriate color for this build, but plan to experiment further on the next RFC aircraft I undertake (the Brisfit).

Thanks again to you all for the kind words,

Chris

HEllo Chris:

Great job on the Snipe, especially outstanding since it is your first WWI kit after a 30 year hiatis.  I like your weathering, not ready to make that jump yet.  I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Welcome to the Forum, great folks here.

Best
