Brush Painting
« on: May 25, 2012, 05:56:01 AM »
Over on Hyperscale a gentleman by the name of Paul Coudeyette regularly posts pics of his latest creations. Now most are jets (suppress your gasps please) but his finishes are simply stunning AND they are brush painted. Truely worth a look.

I can't airbrush as well as he can hand paint.

You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Sometime an actual step by step by him would be interesting. There must be a lot of polishing to get those finishes.

 Steve,
A step by step tutorial would be outstanding my friend. I agree there must be a lot of polishing involved. I'd love to know how the get a flawless NMF with a brush. I wonder if Paul polishes the finish with aluminum power.

If I'm not mistaken, and I stand to be corrected, but I believe that he uses Rub n Buff and polishes it vigorously with his fingertip, rubbing until he gets heat built up.

Cheers,

Chris

  Chris,
You may well be right my old friend. But still no matter it's the best NMF I've seen however Paul does it. NMF is by far the the must difficult to accomplish of all the different finishing techniques .

The NMF is only the half of it with the rest of the hand painting
