Thanks Rick! Zoinks, do those images bring back memories! In 1970, I was eight and really getting into the Revell 1/72nd and Aurora/KP (1/4" scale?) kits. They didn't come out like yours, that's for certain. The box art on those kits was just magnificent and I was an easy target for their 3-kit sets in 1/72nd.

Yes those triple kits were really great! I built a bunch! Still have some decals and instructions floating around somewhere  Airfix also released a few Dogfight Doubles and also those kits with the Vacformed plastic bases and WW1 1/76th infantry  Good Memories for sure!

Hi Rick:  Great photo's:  I enjoy seeing those from the bygone days.  My grandmother was born on 17 Feb 1902.  Passed on Friday, August 13th 1999 at 97.  Had a good long run.
Your photo's remind me of my buddy and me in 1967, the summer between our Junior and Senior year.  We worked at an old folks home at night.  After work and a bit of shut eye, we ride his Suzuki 60 to the local hobby shop, pick up some models and go to my house and build models in my basement listening to the Doors 1st album.  Most of what we built was Aurora WW1, with the obligatory Revell 1/28th thrown in for good measure.  Nothing looked as good as yours.
Every time I hear "Break on Through", I am reminded of the Aurora Albatros CIII (I think) I built.  What a time.

Mark, Glad I sparked some good memories! I STILL have that DOORS album,(Vinyl of course). Something I didn't mention in the original post, My Grandmother was born on Feb. 19th 1900, My Grandparents anniversary was Feb. 18th. So always a lot happening around those dates. Cool that I share your grandmothers Birthday! I hope I live as long, maybe I will get my stash caught up....
