WOW I do not believe it!
Thank you for this link, Deutschmark!
Under the Link "European airfields" I have found the former Messerschmitt factory airfield in Augsburg.
Here
http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=3251.0 I've written a few sentences where I grew up and spent part of my youth.
Thanks to the link from Deutschmark, I can show it to you now:
First, an aerial view of the airfield during the war after a bombing.

Allow me now to write several sentences about it:
The orange circle shows the administration building of the Messerschmitt company at the northern end of the airfield.
The yellow circle shows a portion of the Messerschmitt factory Werk III or IV.
The orange arrow points to the house in which I spent my youth years later.
The blue circle shows the area in which - as in the link above described - I played many years later in the bombed-out buildings.

Now, the same areal in the 1960' .... was a Glider airfield at this time.

The colored circles means the same as above in the war-picture, now years later.

Here (orange circle) is the administration building of the Messerschmitt company at the northern end of the airfield. The new chiefs are on the airfield, now.
This building is still standing today. I think today it belongs to "Sixt" car rental.

And this is the picture from ca. 2006.
The circles are showing and means the same places as before.
There is not much left from my former playground........

........................and today (2014) is nothing more to see it. It was all built with houses.

Thank you Deutschmark for this little trip back to my youth.
