Hello all,
I built this tripe a wee while back, but with recent brainwaves improving as regards computer picture uploading I am now able to share with you.

I hope you like.
Cheers,

Truly phenomenal work, Gary!  Your streaking is superb and your rendering of Baumer's ship has made this my new all time favorite Dr.I scheme.  Lovely!
Cheers,
Bud

Really impressive model of Baumer's Dreidecker. How did you do the streaking?

That's a very very nicely done Triplane, Gary. I too would like to hear some detail on your streaking method(s)
Beautiful!

Gary,

Lovely DR1!

BTW - I think we met about a year ago in your store - I had quite a long conversation with you and another bloke regarding WW1 model aircraft.  You were (if it was you of course!) building a Bristol monoplane fighter at the time and I mentioned I was building WNW's Fokker DVII in 'Otto' markings.  You may not remember of course ..........

Dave

Beautifully done Gary, the streaking is superb and the scheme you used is spectacular, this would have to be the best Fokker Dr.1 I have ever seen.

Wonderful Triplane, Garry!  The streaking and balance of the painting is
flawless.  I think the way you have displayed the model beautifully.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Great looking model Garry and in particular, I think your inclusion of the Pour le Merite and ribbon sets off the whole display. Excellent idea. Where did you get the ribbon and award?

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris,
The PLM and ribbon is mine. Garry used it to good effect with his DR.1.

This was Garry's first attempt at 'streaking.'  I passed on my limited experiences regarding dragging oils over a 'Buff' matte surface. He did the rest!  ;)

I bought the PLM on eBay from a US vendor. It's been in my collection for over 10 years. I think I paid $22 for it.

Cheers,
Bob

P.S. Garry, get off your butt and answer some of the questions in your thread!  :D
