CRAP.

Just about finished my 48th scale Eduard Pfalz D. IIIa when it got knocked off the work bench breaking the landing gear.  Now I can't find the strut pieces in the carpet monster.

Tried cutting some new ones out of styrene sheet but they looked horrible.

I guess I could say that the Pfalz was a top secret experimental model with retractable landing gear.

 :-\ Ouch!

Sympathies. You'll have to offer sacrifice to the carpet monster and it may give up your missing parts in reaction?

I will NEVER FINISH that Pzalz. So if no other solution arrises I would be more than happy to ship you the whole thing and you can use brake fluid or whatever to separate the gear. Send me a PM if you need the kit.

i use plastruct butyryl coated wire for replaceing most kit landing gear as well as tail skids in 1/48. it is a soft/mild steel core with plastic coating. i  just bend it to shape then sand the aerodynamic shape to the strut shape. i use wire strippers to remove about 1/8" of plastic and glue the exposed steel wire into drilled holes. i got sick of breaking landing gear and tail skids.
