Anniversary
« on: June 21, 2014, 04:39:30 PM »
Had our 33 wedding anniversary today. 36 years together. Took my wife out for a nice steak dinner and we glutted. Tomorrow surprise her with a trip to the jewelry store. Thinking that I really need another WNW like a hole in the head, but, oh shucks yeah I do. Question is which one. Have not got a Fokker DVII F, Rumpler early, Junkers.  So what you think, wait for the AEG GIV, behave and dont get anything , or get one of the missing birds and say its from my wife???

Congratulations James to you and your wife for your wedding anniversary, it is always nice to hear of couples who have been together for so long. As far as the models go, I would buy them all and say it was an anniversary present  :)  Well.. it's worth a try  ;) ;)

Firstly congratulations.

Secondly I'd go with what RB says. The Fokkers like the Albatrossen are  cash cows for WNW with all the varying schemes modellers will be buying them steadily. The Junkers like some others isn't that popular so I doubt they'd consider  a re-run once stocks go.  WNW play their cards close to their chest but that's my gut instinct.

Congratulations James to you and your wife.

I'm with Keith on this one and would go for the Junkers for the reason he gives.

Best wishes
Nigel

Congratulations to you and your wife, James, on your milestone. :D  As for
the kit, maybe would go for the Rumpler or the Junkers, give it/them to your
wife as an anniversary gift and gallantly offer to build them for "her". ;) ;D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Sincere congratulations! It is so soothing to hear of a couple living together so long, when we are attacked from all sides with so many sad news of divorsions... May you enjoy your mutual presence for further 33 years!!!

As for the gift, buy any WNW kit you may wish! Or all of them! They are all worth having. Do not wait for AEG, it may take some time, still  ;)

James,
"Very Best" to you and Kris; and having recently met your two fine Sons it looks like you've both done very well at this marriage and Family thing.
For my money, the Junkers has to be the choice, it can't possibly last much longer. (Wasn't it the first, or at least in the original foursome?)
     Go for it! :P
Cheers,
Lance

Congratulations, James!  I agree with the others.  The Junkers would be my choice for all of the above reasons.  Besides, it's a really nice kit.
Cheers,
Bud

Whoa! Careful there! My wife of 34 years has a habit of reading these posts over my shoulder. This talk of a trip to a jewelry store might put ideas in her head.  ;D  Seriously though, congratulations on making marriage work.

Cheers,

Chris

Congratulations James and hoping for another 33.  I am sure she will appreciate the trip to the jewelry store.  I have to agree on the Junkers!  Lance is correct it was one of the original 4 along with the LVG, SE5 and the Biff.

Best
