A lovely piece of work and a powerful reminder as to what skilled hands can still achieve with a vac form.

Best wishes

Terri
Yeah, you should know!  For those of you who haven't seen this kit prior to Ed's or Terri's TLC, it is an utterly useless slab of styrene with some vague bumps on it.  Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Lonestar Models and Mike West has produced some excellent kits.  This was not one of them.  I bought the kit on ebay and ended up just tossing it without ever attempting to build it then sent the decals to Terri for her wonderful project.  What Ed has done here is nothing short of miraculous.  I'm not sure how much of the kit he actually used, hopefully he'll chime in with some build commentary, but I know that Terri's was essentially scratch built.
Ed, thanks for submitting these photos.  Truly remarkable work, Amigo.  Makes me regret tossing mine.
Cheers,
Bud

A really good build of a not very well known type. Great to see another pusher. I am not a fan of vacuforms so I am even more impressed with this one - especially in such a large scale. Many congratulations.

Bud and Rick, Thank you my 2 amigos for work in posting the pics.

To all the above comments, Thank you all Lady and gentlemen.

Yes, it is pretty much all redone- sat around for years in various stages, finished it as sort of a prayer in hope that WNW would do one in 1/32 . (The latest WNW release of the ALB DVa OAW is a reminder of my how they eliminated most of my plans for some 1/28 scratch builds) There are still some rough spots on the Fe and need some touch up as the close ups show.

Very nice build. Yet one more motivation to think of building a FE8.
