Hello from England
« on: May 25, 2014, 03:13:40 PM »
Hello, my name is Chris and I am 62 years old and live in West Sussex. In 1962 (!!) a relative gave a present of "Biggles-Pioneer Air Fighter" and from that time have had a continual interest in WW1 aviation. I now build and fly R/C models and found this site while researching a project, the restoration of a 1/6 Fokker DVII. I always get inspiration from the models to be found on a site like this and also hope to draw on the knowledge of other members regarding colours and markings (and maybe even contribute sometimes)

Welcome to the forum, Chris.  I'm sure the information here will be a help
to you.  You have my respect.  As someone that can crash a static model, I
shudder to think what I would do with an R/C version. ;) ;D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Hi Chris,

A fellow UK WW1 R/C modeller here.   Our models tend to be rather large compared to most on here but there are some fantastic modellers on here producing beautiful models providing plenty of scope for education and amazement.

Alan
