LVG B.I - card model 1/33
« on: May 24, 2014, 03:53:54 AM »
Hello again:-)

Hope that You are not bored with my models;-) I have finished LVG last summer. For now it is the biggest model in my collection - wingspan  40 cm. It was published by Orlik in 2008. Its size and thin wing profile cause everything is extremly fragile. Wings keeps together mainly thanks to rigging (like in real plane;-))

Wow, Piotr!  Truly remarkable!  No matter how hard I try, I cannot distinguish this from any superbly built plastic kit.  This is your best that I have seen yet.
Cheers,
Bud

Not bored. These are awesome.

I completely agree with Bo. I find it very difficult to believe that the engine and cockpit details are from card! Your skills are incredible. The model looks so realistic that it could be easily mistaken for a real aeroplane.

Amazing - like everybody else, I am also surprised these models are card.

Superbly, built and rigged as well.

This is surely a parallel universe? I just can't get my head around how you manage to achieve this quality, Piotr.

Best wishes

This is an amazing model Piotr!  You are a true craftsman.  Each of the builds you have shown us are equally magnificent and interesting models.  That they are from paper card leaves me speechless . . . Almost.  I have a humble request.

You are clearly a world leader in paper card modeling (at least as far as I know) :D.  I have a couple of these kits but have no idea how to build them.  Can you offer some suggestions for building tutorials or references, or better yet, post a build log or tutorial here on the forum for paper card modeling?  It would be most appreciated I'm sure.  Please give it some thought.  Thanks, and thank you for sharing your fantastic works with us.

Regards,

Bob

Please belive me, in Poland, where card models are very popular, there are lot of modellers that build them much, much better than I do.
I have spent some time watching galleries on this forum and it impressed me a lot. Plastic kits that You all build are realy beautiful and lifelike. I hope that some day I'll be able to build similarly.

If I only start building any I World War plane, I'll be happy to post build log and explain step by step how to deal with card models:-)

Wow!  that is impressive Piotr!  Cant believe they are not plastic kits, so realistic.  I would be one who would love to see a build log!
