Show us your Walfisch

I reckon with the release of WNW's two gorgeous kits, we'll soon be seeing a few of these being built.  I thought I'd get the ball rolling with one of my older builds, my meager effort with Eduard's 1/48 scale Roland C.II.  I wanted to provide all you Nutters with a place to land once your builds were completed and also get this one up before anyone got the chance to compare it to the truly splendid WNW builds that are surely on their way. ;)

As you all can see, I got the interior color wrong. :-[
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks Bud for kicking off this topic with your wonderful Walfisch, you have done a superb job with this model with the overall finish looking excellent, the Walfisch is a perfect shape to have sharks teeth.

Despite what you say about the interior colour, this is a characteristically impressive piece of work, Bud. I love it!

Best wishes
Nigel

Hello Bud,

Never saw this one before. You made a superb fish of this beautiful a/c. The colors are outstanding and I don't know what is wrong with the interior. Once again a magnificent build my friend!

Kind regards
Patrick

Thanks so much, guys!  Jason, that is one gorgeous Walfisch!  I love your weathering.  Brilliant work, mate.  It'll be fun to see how the Wingnut kits compare.
Cheers,
Bud

This was the third kit I built after my 30 year hiatus. It's the Airfix offering, with very little improvement. The interior is scratch built and the markings are handpainted, but other than that it's OOB, warped wing and huge panel lines included.
I have another in the stash, with a Choroszy engine and Mini-World Parabellum to add to it...looking forward to getting a start on it....

Definitely a "practice" effort, but much better than the first one I built when I was about 12!
