Dave,
Pretty to watch; she's turned out beautifully and I'll be watching as she hits the final stretch. Nicely done all round!
Cheers,
Lance :)

You're doing some very nice work here. What are you using for your rigging? It has a nice limp look about it.

Cheers,

Chris
You can have it good; You can have it fast; you can have it cheap. Pick any two, but all three are impossible.

Hi Chris

Its just .15mm monofilament fishing line, which will be painted with a thinned
medium grey to simulate the satin stainless steel cables and flying wires.

Cheers

Dave,
What do you paint the rigging wires with?  I've used both acrylics  and enamels, well thinned, and can't get the "clean" finish I want. Also tried markers to no improvement although I am looking for some higher quality markers (Staedler?) in the right colours. Any hints would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Lance

Hi Lance, I use the old Tamiya Medium grey, thinned to the consistency
you would have when spraying, and lightly brush it on in sucesssive
layers until it looks ok . . . . Another few pics to look at by the way.
Have a good one:-)

All the very best

Dave,
Thanks for the quick reply on my question. I'll have to try thinner and more coats.
As for the RE8, one short word covers it nicely........."MAGNIFICENT", and per Forest Gump, "that's all I'm gonna say about that"!!
Cheers,
Lance

Thank you Lance . . . . Good luck with the rigging.
I broke a wheel off last night, what with all that trailing
line . . . .  !@#!@#!@ . . . . Patience is the key, and I
lost it . . . . . All fixed, and a better, slower attempt tonight.

Have a good one Lance

Weekend is over and the wheel is fixed with a brass pin. I changed the
control wire on the top wing to a smaller diameter. Also the main rigging
is now complete, less painting, and swearing   LOL
