Hello, James -

Looking good so far.  As far as wicker seat colour, I use 'Ochre' which seems a reasonable close match followed by used darkened shade applied as wash.  Once dry, I've dry brushed Ochre slightly lightened to add a bit of colour depth/shading.

Others may have a better choice of colour of course ...........

All your work so far is looking excellent James. For my wicker seats I use Hobby Color (Gunze) H71 Middlestone, in my eyes it looks very close to the wicker colour.

Thanks everyone. Found some Vallejo Ochre brown. Am experimenting although a bit of a setback today. Went down to the shop and found model all over floor. Luckily I noticed something wasnt right before I stepped on something or sat down. Found half the fuse under the chair wheel when I pulled it back. Only thing I can see that is broken are the guns. So cleaned up and started painting wicker. Will have to think some on the guns. Darned cats, neither is confessing to the crime.

Ouch! I feel for you James. If you wish my Wonder Dog G. Shepherd is only minutes away, and has a way with Felines, (not for your Wife's eyes!!)  ;)Seriously, glad it's only minor damage, that could have been devastating! From what you've posted thus far I'm sure the recovery will be top drawer and all will be well.

I believe you have pretty-much nailed it, James, especially the wicker.
What paint did you settle on for that colour?

Thank you. Okay for the wicker I used Vallejo Ochre Brown. When dry I used a wash of Burnt Umber oil paint. Then when dry I dry brushed with the Vallejo Ochre Brown lightened with Vallejo Golden Yellow.
For the Leather I used Vallejo Saddle leather. Then went over it with oil paints, Mars Orange. I then used Mars Brown and Yellow Ochre to make it look more used.
It looks better today now that everything is dry. More pics to come.

Thanks Dave. Cats have been banned from the man cave much to their disgust.

A tiny bit done. Have to work on the kit guns next and install before I can button up the fuse. Anyone building this I think it might be easier to install the gun mount before you install the gyro.













As you can see there is not much visible after the cockpit is together.
