WNW pfalzDIIIa in Pheon Aloys Heldmanns scheme
« on: March 11, 2014, 07:19:04 AM »
Just fancied a quickie. Started this about 10 days ago. The interior is bog standar and I only paid attention to the top of the engine using alclad shades.

Very nice work with a fantastic choice of a scheme. What did you use for the silbergrau?

Wonderful work, Dave!  I can't even think of getting such beautiful results in such
a short time. The paint scheme is very attractive as well.  Thanks for sharing and I
look forward to more photos.  Well done!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

So were in the home straight now. Turnbuckles and weathering done. Just needs top wing and rigging. The colour is a 50/50 tamiya grey and silver I mixed, buffed with micro mesh. The exhaust is alclad shades. I used a chrome yellow over chrome on the nose then buffed some off.
I use oils for my props but I don't laminate as I can't get it to look scale, for me.

Very VERY nice Dave! For a "quickee" She certainly is impressive. I'll have a look at Her on the Completed Thread and comment some more. For now, can you share the Name/brand/ source of your grass matting on the Base, it's something I keep wanting to get and keep putting off.............
Cheers,
Lance

She's truly gorgeous, Dave.  Remarkable for a quickie.  I really like the grass mat, too.  Where did you get it?
Cheers,
Bud
