i comb ebay regularly because you can find rare kits . i have seen some foolishness like in production kits selling for more than you can get it at the hobby shop but there are deals to be had. for instance i posted a few weeks ago there was a guy in the ukraine selling 20, 1/32 avis fokker ev kit for $42 u.s. plus $14 shipping. thats $56 delivered to my door. thats cheaper than retail by far, those kits were going for $89 to $99 at most online shops when they were available. i just scored a 1/48 legato lohner dr.1 for $70 thats retail but you havent been able to get that kit for 5 years and there werent a whole lot made in the first place. now if i can get a legato lloyd 40.05 for around $100 i will be skipping to my mailbox everyday til it arrives.

I'm sure there are deals to be had. I think it's when there are two bidders or more who really wants a kit it tends to get out of hand. I have also thought about selling items (mostly books) that don't interest me anymore – does anyone have any experience doing this here. It seems a bit hard work to register as a seller.
