Hi Nigel,
I have no clue as to the authenticity of this Tabloid. I'm hoping someone within our forum will know the history. 
It would be nice to know if the cockpit is meant to be as sparse as shown in the first image

Those are great shots Bob--looks like I'm going to have more detailing than I had thought, but it's all good. 

I have another cockpit photo of a flying reproduction of the Tabloid which shows a complete IP. 

Thanks to everyone for your terrific support with so many photos.  I now have a much better idea of how this aeroplane was put together, both inside and out, that is just not clearly conveyed by scale drawings alone.
