Hello all
I have recently returned to modelling after the usual 30 year lay-off!
I mostly model AFV's but have recently wandered into the world of WW1 aircraft...and after being inspired by the modelling skills and super models displayed on this site have an Academy Sopwith Camel on the bench, ready to go.
I will, no doubt, be asking for advice!
regards
Allan

Welcome to the forum, Allan! Many of our finest modelers on this site are also AFV modelers, so your skills should serve you well on WWI aircraft. I look forward to seeing that Camel come together on these pages.
Cheers,
Bud

Welcome to the site Allan. The Academy/Old Hobbycraft moulding may cause you some frustration. Check the main site for Des' suggestions on first kits.

Hello Allan and welcome to the forum, so nice to see you here. I look forward to seeing your build of the Academy Camel, I built the same kit not too long ago and found it a very enjoyable build, not without its issues but fun all the same, here is the link to my build which you might find helpful.

Hi Allen and welcome to the forum. I think you will find it a great place to
hang out with many friendly and knowledgeable modellers of all skill levels.
The WWI aeroplanes really do grow on you. Good to have you aboard, and
have fun with the Camel.
Cheers,
Ernie
