Great to know that an effort such as this is underway. If nothing else it will give many of the public pause to think of the sacrifices and hardships of a long past generation. The cost alone of moving seven or so of the TVAL Aircraft to Britain must be phenomenal; good on Sir Peter!
Cheers,
Lance

Congratulations to SPJ for doing this, what a great way to celebrate the start of WW1.

Hi Guys,

Happy New Year!

This was the great news I hinted at in some of my  posts last year It's a very exciting concept and I have been pleased to lend some support by contributing   the  historical content  for
the new  TVAL/UK website which should be up and running shortly. We plan to extend our  texts into a commemorative -type Special but the idea is just gelling at present. ;)

I will keep you posted on future developments as they arise,

Cheers,

Ray R.

As a keen supporter of Stow Maries (along with all of my Dawn Patrol friends) this is fantastic news!

Stow needs all the help it can get to support the marvellous work that has already been done - but there's plenty still to do.    For UK based forumites, hopefully you will be able to come along and enjoy the Festival of Flight model show that we are organising on the 16th and 17th of August and thus support Stow too - it's a wonderful place.

Great news, looks like several trips to Essex will be on the cards for me.

... punctuated by the occasional good action scene with cheesy American 'light humour'.

Hey!  >:( As a cheesy American, I think I resent that! :) :) :)

Don't want to be the voice of doom, but read the last paragraph of that article, and take a deep breath. Hope it works out though, I'd love to see a flight of WWI aircraft flying low in the British summer skies.

The reason that comment is in there is that Sir Peter Jackson's team did not initiate the article and as the project is at a conceptual stage only, it is too soon for details.
