1/72 Fokker EIII
« on: December 20, 2013, 12:55:59 PM »
This is a little project from the past few evenings. With no kit to start, I was needing to build something. A picture from a WNW EIII in the shop inspired me. Revell's instructions have the decal plans in 1/72. Some stretched sprue and plastic card with a Rosen seat are all I've used so far. I still have a little ways to go. I plan on a simple diorama if the cats don't find it before I'm done.
Pics from my phone,so I apologize, but I was anxious to show somebody!

Wow, Stan!  That is truly phenomenal, Rosen seat and all.  Are you going to leave it unskinned?  That frame work is too sweet to cover.
Cheers,
Bud

The Eindecker is amazing, Stan, especially in the teeny scale.  You
have my admiration for your stunning work.  I look forward to your
updates.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

A couple of hours of work after dinner and I. have an engine built up. Made of wire wrapped around brass tube on a styrene hub. Hard to see are the ignition wires behind the push rods. A little large to mount on the plane,it will be a background detail for the vignette.  The engine is 15mm in diameter.

Thank you gentleman. Tomorrow I paint then attach the tail feathers. I am not doing the wings. I plan on.  a work table and maybe some other little things.I can't do the control cables in the frame. I'm going blind as it is!
