Friedrichshafen FF49B (Top Gun, 1/72)
« on: December 13, 2013, 08:03:40 AM »
So here it is, my rendition of the flag ship of Polish Naval Squadron - FF49B. It was bought in August 1920 in Gdańsk. Three photos showing it were taken on August 20th, 1920 during an inspection of the Squadron inventory at its base in Puck on Puck Bay, Baltic Sea. The White 1 apparently crashed during a flight over the bay on January 15th, 1921. However, another source claims it remained in service in Puck till 1924.

You have done a remarkable job with this model, the overall finish is superb and the markings you used are stunning. Even your base is exceptional with the patchy grass and the beaching gear, congratulations on a brilliant build.

Prez, in any scale, this would be an extraordinary model and a brilliant display.  In 1/72 scale, it is even more astonishing.  Congratulations on a truly stunning creation.  I love everything about it.
Cheers,
Bud

Przemo you did a great job here my dear mate! It doesn` t look like 72nd scale - it looks much much bigger. You`re truly a gifted modeller. The base and the carts complete the scene!
Best regards
Filip

Many thanks, gentlemen. I am glad that you accept my model and like it as much as I do  ;)

Filip, BTW, this model is huge. It may be hard to believe, but the span of this 72nd scale FF49 is almost the same as that of DH.2 in 32nd scale, which I have just started.

Absolutely stunning model, Przemo.  Doubly stunning considering it is
in the teeny scale  Hearty congratulations on a wonderful build!

Ernie :)

Outstanding work - I have been following your build with great interest but these photos show what a master modeller you are. This is quite simply a stunning model which reflects your patience and skill, both of which you have in abundance. The base sets it off very well indeed - another mark of your exceptional skills.
