The Flying Machines Press 'Austro-Hungarian Army Aircraft of World War One' book has photos and drawings of both (assuming the Aviatik 30.24 is the same as a Berg 30.24).

yeah i know about that book i just dont really want to pay $300+ to get it. theres 4 of those books on ebay. noone bids on em and they just sit there. i offered one guy $150 and he sent a counter offer of $275 . so until someone realizes that the bottom has droppped out on that book and offers to sell for a reasonable price i wont be able to get one. believe me i want that book more than any other book in the world, just cant see paying quite as much as they want for em. apparently they dont get it the same 4 freakin books have been for sale for close to a year. ??????????

Order it from Flying Machine Press for under $100
http://www.flying-machines.com/booklist.html

That's where I got my copy.

The latest issue of Windsock International (Vol.29, No. 5) also has photos and drawings of the Aviatik 30.24.

i did however find that the jack herris book "germanies triplane craze" had drwings and a few photos of the 30.40 so i spose it will have to do until i can get my hands on the austro-hungarian aircraft bible.

Hi Albatros[great name!]

1:72 scale drawings and photos of the 30.24 appear in the WS 29/5 issue -see www.windsockdatafilespecials.co.uk

We have all of George archive and the feature includes photos of this triplane not in the FMP book; we purposefully did it to avoid repetition of images which I always find irritating. It may be of use to you, :D

Cheers,

Ray R.
