'' Autumn talk,1914'' 1:72
« on: November 18, 2013, 11:03:10 PM »
Finally completed this diorama with Hansa-brandenburg B.I by Legato kits. :D This model was a nightmare so Im not really happy with a result but Im happy that is finally behind me :-\. Diorama was built from scratch, The tree was made of a copper wire and putty, The bench, well and other wooden elements were made of balsa wood, the axe was made of shaving razor, I used a NOCH grass for rail models and for the leaves I used a home-grown dried spices. The Figures of mechanic and a civilian is by Preiser, also in scale 1:72.
All in all it was a quite fun build :D Here's the result:

Beautiful modeling Barleta, and a thoroughly absorbing scene!  The model fits right into the landscape, as if it were pushede back under the tree to hide it from prying eyes from above.  Your tree is among the best I have seen.  What did you use for the leaves?  Lots of nice details throughout, and the ground ciover looks very real.  Oh yeah . . . I really like the HB too!  ;D  Very well done indeed!

Regards,

Bob

Absolutely gorgeous Barleta!
The diorama detail is very well done. as is the H-B (especially the woodwork!) I have this kit in my stash, I'd be interested to know what the problems were with it....

Stunning little diorama, Barleta!  As others have said, that tree is magnificent.  One would never know that the Legato kit was a nightmare.  You did an absolutely brilliant job on her.  Congratulations.
Cheers,
Bud

A brilliant little diorama Barleta, all the elements of this dio are very pleasing, the bench, the well, the axe, and the magnificent tree, and not forgetting the aeroplane. You have captured a real feel about this scene and a great touch having fallen leaves sitting on the plane, the figures and the bucket add the finishing touches, expertly executed.

Beautiful scene Barleta, and the model as well. You can be very proud of this one, and the H.B. looks anything but a nightmare to my eyes. Very nice work!

Awesome! I love the overall wood and nature ambiance, the leaves fallen on the aircraft, the wood effect on the fuselage. Beautiful piece.
