Just simply staggering....I can't help thinking your model would not look out of place standing next to a real Se5a. Everyone would
then see just what goes into the real deal and be just as mind-boggled about what an extraordinary effort it took to build your bird.

All good things must come to an end I suppose. I have tremendously enjoyed following your incredible progress on this from start to finish, and have gained a lot from the experience. As Rick has said, this build will be a wonderful reference for a lot of us on SE5a Builds but no one will come close to your impeccable talents and standards. I sincerely hope that you will do another aircraft in future, and feature it here. Thank you so much for sharing this magnificent project here with us, and enjoy those vintage autos too!
Cheers,
Lance

Honestly this is the first time I saw this thread, I think someone will have to invent some new adjectives because I can't think of any that would do this justice.  My mouth is agape.....speechless

First off Dan, let me convey my sincere thanks to you for posting your incredible build of this awesome model on my forum, it has bought hours of joy and amazement to the forum members, we have all gained invaluable skills from your build tutorial.

Secondly, congratulations on completing this immaculate build of a 1:8 scale SE5a, you have shown to us through your expertise and your extremely talented hands what is possible when building in miniature, this model is as close to the real thing as it could possibly get.

I hope in the future that you plan on making another scale WW1 aircraft model and if so I invite you to be part of this forum again by posting your build log here.

Dan, your efforts are stunning. I can't add much to what has
already been said, except you are completely deserving of all
praise for your sublime SE 5a.  Thank you for sharing this gem! :D

Cheers,
