Thanks guys for your kind words!

Second lower wing completed:

And now, the beginning of the "cabane". Wow, a french word...

Wings are not definitively in place. A good think to work on the cabane!

Cheers, Dan.

Exceptional work on the lower wings Dan, it certainly is a large model.

Very cool indeed. I'd love to take a stab at one of these big ones someday, probably the Dr.I

Good evening friends and thank you for your visits and comments ...

The cabane, following rather late!
This structure must "live" alone. There was a lot of angles in all this:

The  front and rear supports welded on site, thanks to a wonderful tool,
a resistance welding station, expensive but really ideal for delicate welds,
with minimal heat propagation.

These sleeves have been really welded in situ, impossible to achieve with the flame of course, and for
me at least, iron ...

All remaining naturally demountable as a real plane, but for me it will greatly facilitate
the steps!

Thanks for looking, Dan.

Thank you RagIII and Martin...

Today safety fuel tank. Not really very easy, but to me the result is OK!
Not completed yet:

How to? Stamping of course...

Do you see what I mean when I say "removable"?

Cheers, Dan.

Hello to all,
Each time, I see your work, I want to cry...Seriously, your work is beyond model making border. Just awesome !

Well, safety tank more, but not completed ...
The fasteners are in place:
