Ni 17, Eduard 1:48, Fulco Ruffo di Calabria
« on: May 07, 2012, 08:20:42 PM »
Hi,
Let me introduce Ni 17 of Fulco Ruffo di Calabria, one of the top Italian Aces with 20 victories (5th place). It was flown in 91 Squadrilia known as the "Aces' Squadron".
The Eduard Profipack was a really extensive part to work with and can easily recommend to all of you.
I had used MM Aluminum for the wings and part of fuselage with the final layer of acrylic Parta. The area behind the engine was painted Humbrol 11.
I have also made more genuine view of the plane using the dry pigments

Have a fun :D

Hi KrzysiekK
what a wonderful Nieuport.
The rendering of the Aluminum is fantastic in my opinion, so you used Model Master paint?

Is it good for brushes also?

You know I don't use an airbrush...

Thanks and congratulations again!
Antonio

PS has anybody ever tried Alclad metallic paints with a paint brush?

Thanks guys,

I would rather use Humbrol 11 for brushes than MM. Nevertheless it will be difficult to imitate the metallic layer by brush
MM is great for air but..smells badly :(
Sorry never used Alclad

Absolutely gorgeous little Nieuport, Krzysiek.  Fantastic weathering with the dry pigments.

Really, really nice work!  And a great job making the all over silver finish look interesting.  The Eduard Nie 11/17 kits really are great kits aren't they?

Krzysiek, the interiors look fantastic, the wood grain is absolutely the most convincing I have seen up to now!
