'The usual machine, Herr Hauptman'...
« on: October 10, 2013, 06:54:56 AM »
Hi Guys,

Here's two images of my WNW Pfalz of a year or two ago; following a clearout of my image files.

This may be old news, but I heard from Encore recently that their 1:32 Pfalz-ex Roden-in Blue Max guise will be available late this year! ;D

It features full decals, several new parts to back-engineer it to filmic guise and two resin figures of 'Bruno' and 'Kaeti'...

What great times we live in...

Cheers,

Ray R.

Truly lovely Pfalz, Ray, photographed brilliantly.  Excuse my ignorance, but what are those bands on the prop?
Cheers,

The sepia toned photo is a stunner, takes me to the place (& time) we're all so keen to capture.

Most certainly, this one was a Happy Landing

Nice model with your usual photographic skills. I really look forward to the Encore kit you speak of, especially the Kaethi figure  ::)

Beautiful model of the most beautiful airplane! It is always great to see photos of these elegant lines... Be it two or twenty years old.

Ray, although I have seen this one before it is just as stunning a model as I ewcall! Beautiful Photogtaphy as always from you! As for the Encore News, it wasn't known to me. Although I may not build the kit as the one from the Blue Max Movie, I will welcome the usual Eduard Produced PE and any other usable tidbits. This also gives me hope that Encore will produce other Roden kits with Figures and updated parts!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the warm words Guys. Bud, the model has two props; one of them is  wrapped with painted covers and has fine cordage wrapped around the blades to mimic some photos I have seen. The other is a normally painted airscrew- as here.

Hopefully Greg VanWyngarden and I will be producing an all-new D.IIIa DF next year with many new photos and profiles. ;)

Cheers,

Ray R.

Hurray!! My wishes seem to come true. Now I only need to find a way to get those Encore kits from the US to Germany, as Squadron's ideas of shipping costs are a mere joke - they are charging much more than the kit's cost.
