A New Way of Mixing paint
« on: September 19, 2013, 11:26:12 PM »
Tools & supplies = 1x Tamiya paint mixing tool
                                   1x acrylic thinner
                                   1x grip/zip bag 60mmx40mm
                                   1x acrylic paint of choice
                                   1x scissors or snips

Hello all,
I had a brainstorm earlier today and thought it right and proper to share my cerebral explosion with my community  ;) I hope this becomes a sticky!

Mixing acrylic paint ready for the airbrush has never been so easy!
The beauty of this method is that you're always in full view of the consistency of the paint and for that reason alone it's worth a try.

Please take a look at my collection of images below.
A great way of mixing up paint ready to go or for later use.

Cheers,
Bob Von Buckle  :)

Now that's a neat idea, Bob!  I hope you didn't leap out of bed in the middle of the
night when that hit. ;)   I like the bit about being able to check the consistency.
Very helpful tip, Herr Oberbuckle. ;D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Also good for mixing clear coats!

Ever had a bad reaction with thinners gumming up your clear coat? Not anymore!!
You can see long before you put the clear coat anywhere near your airbrush whether it's a pile of slop!

That is very good idea. But you can also use Vallejo air.

I like it!  Beats mixing in jars which you have to clean later. Anything simple AND disposable, I like. ;)
