If so, how was it? Anyone else a motorsports enthusiast?

bigtime F1 fan here, car collector blah blah blah -- haven't seen it yet but will the second it arrives here. So far the buzz seems good and even if it isn't I expect I will still eat it up :)

I`ve seen it. It`s brilliant. It shows their highs and lows; Lauda`s lungs being vacuumed out after his accident, and Hunt`s fantastic sex life! He is reputed to have had 5,000 women! If he started at 15, I make that one every 2.5 days!

will be seeing it as soon as it opens here. I have to take Eoin Young with me, who wrote Hunts biography immediatley after he won the championship so it will be interesting to see what he makes of it, as he was there.

My brother-in-law knows everything about motor racing  ::)   well to be fair to him he actually is an avid knowledgeable fan – he saw the film a few days ago & thought it to be a superb depiction of the Hunt story & equally good if judged just as a ‘film’.

I’ve fond memories of watching James Hunt race (on TV), also of his double act with Murray Walker when he became co-commentator for the BBC’s F1 coverage.

When passing comment on Hunts love life, Murray once said “he was built for it” – I’ve no idea what he meant by that  :-[

Big racing fan here and cannot wait to see this film. 1976 was the first year I noticed racing and I have always loved the cars and drivers from this era.

Also F1 models are a second hobby (maybe a third lol) and I have both Hunt's Mclaren (Tamiya) and Lauda's Ferrari (Hasegawa) to build someday....

That settles it. I am definitely going to see it when it opens locally. We'll have to share our impressions after we all see it.

Wife & i just got home from the theater after watching it with a group of twenty or thirty like minded souls. We ate it up. The lead casting is uncanny, all the period & technical details nailed, but better it's a great story well told. Maybe best racing movie ever. Five thumbs up.

I'm a big fan of motorsports.

Rally and F1, motogp and motocross being myself in the technical verification team when those motocross bikers come here to race.

Cheers
