Ansaldo A.1 Balilla, 1:48 Karaya
« on: September 15, 2013, 06:01:58 AM »
Hello,

Here we have my interpretation of Ansaldo A1 Balilla in Italian markings as it might had flown century ago on  Italian sky.
Karaya provided really good kit but obviously not for the begginers. The struts must be cut precisely to keep the proper shape of the plane, sophisticated rigging with double wire was not so easy to build but finally done, etc.
To sum up it was worth of wiping the sweat from the forehead :)

regards,
K

In one word:  beautiful! Lovely scheme, fine shading, nicely done wood imitation, spoked wheels... Delicious.

Extremely well done, beautifully finished with a great scheme, the rigging is superb and the spoked wheels really set it off, congratulations on an excellent build.

That's a really nicely finished model - something a little bit different as well.

Excellent model and a fascinating subject too. How did you do the upper wing top surface camouflage?

Just found this one. Beautiful paint work on a challenging scheme! You have done an awesome job. I like the squadron/personal  Markings , are they from the kit?
