Dormant Albatros
« on: September 10, 2013, 03:22:18 AM »
Hi Guys,

Not sure if this really qualifies as a diorama-more a vignette. It's a modded WNW Albie fuselage on a scratchbuilt base plus various bits and bobs. It's all based on imagination so excuse any apparent anomalies!

Cheers,

Ray R.

That is a nice idea to save a WNW engine for another build. The tarp is well done, very convincing. Could you please post a close-up of your interpretation of the lower wing attachment?

Hi ,

Here is a close-up of sorts. The root features Albion Alloy tubes,Fotocut rings, some scrap PE from Eduard sheets and four turnbuckles. The latter are Part items from their Pfalz D.III sheet bulked up with PVA and enamel.  It's all based on photos and a little licence!

Cheers,

Ray

Very lovely work, Ray.  She looks lonely.  Very atmospheric.

Quite unusual and very well done. It highlights the shape of the fuselage.
