Hey Ernie,
This isn't the first time I've promoted the Pup as an introduction to Wingnut and the larger scale. It's by no means a push-over but is, compared to some others in their line, mostly a pleasurable Build top to bottom. I really enjoyed this Build; no massive obstacles, lots of magnificent colour schemes, and a really sharp little beast when done.
Looking forward to following your first foray into the land of 1:32 and all it has to offer!
Cheers,
Lance ;)

The Pup is the one Im trying to get to now and then WHEN I get downstairs. Got some of the cockpit components done and ready to put the I/P decals on but when that is who knows...but it is a good one. I think the floor, fuselage, wing problem can be solved by gluing the floor A26 to the lower wing D5 first then line everything up from there.

Hi Ernie;

I've built the Pup as well, great little kit, even with the double rigging lines, the only down side with RFC planes is the limited range of schemes, they are mostly 'Olive Drab', where as when you get on to the German aircraft they have a massive variety of colourful schemes i.e. Fritz Rumeys 'Devil'.

Looks great, but a mind blowing exercise in decalling.

Cheers

Pete.

Wow, Pete that is so great!  Are the decals with the
kit, or after-market?  What a fantastic job you have
done with the model.  You are right, for the most part,
the Central Powers planes were much more colourful.
That is something I really find appealing.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Hi Ernie, they were after-market, from Rowan Broadbent 'Pheon Models', unfortunately they were a 'Limited Run' in 1/32 scale, so they are no longer available.

Cheers

To tell you the truth, once I built my first 1/32 aircraft, I never looked back. Personally it had nothing to do with WNW, but the size of the scale. I love the amount of detail work that can be done in that size. Plus, being an avid 1/35 armor builder, it just seemed like a logical move.

I now use 1/48 aircraft as my experimental aircraft to check paint schemes, diorama ideas, etc... Although I will occassionally make a 1/48 diorama, if asked to.

Joe, I'm finding that since I've started my 1/32 build I feel much better...I'm
not sure if it's all in my head, but working with the bigger bits helps alot.
Not to mention the fact of all those WnW lovelies just waiting. ;)
Thanks for your thoughts.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
