My latest are the MikroMir Fokker E.V/D.VIII and WNW's new Fokker D.VII (Fok) Early.  I'll be tarting up the E.V with a Vector engine, Aviattic Dr.I cowling, Master Model Spandaus, HGW D.VII seat belts and the Part Dr.I PE set.

I'd like to build the D.VII as Ltn. Sachsenberg's yellow and black diamonds scheme from the original D.VII (Fok) kit, if I can source the decals.  He flew the similarly-marked E.V shown in the MikroMir kit also, but without decals for that, it's unfortunately a non-starter.

If masks could be a solution to your problem, please feel free to PM me.  ;)

I don't think masks would be a viable option in this case.  This is the D.VII scheme, and the E.V scheme is similar:

WNW provides the black diamonds as single decals for each side, top and bottom of the fuselage.

Hmmm... the Micro Mir DVIII looks good, must investigate that.... Just got my WNW Bentley Camel... via UK to South Africa and a great deal... go figure... I have to somehow stop all the drooling ruining the decals... Off to fondle some plastic! Marc.

My D.VIII arrived today & I'll also be awaiting decals from Pheon not due to dissatisfaction with the kit decals but I just don't want to build the very bright & in some cases very speculative schemes provided.

The kit was in a large padded envelope with the box unfolded, nothing was broken though, it's a fairly sturdy little aircraft on the sprue.

Regards
Russell

I am now in the group of Modelers that own a Mikro Mir DVIII:

RAGIII

Me too and it looks quite cute in the box. Although 1/32 it's a small plane  :)
Borsos

Mine arrived yesterday, well packaged and 23 days from the Ukraine to my mail box. Good service and a great price through EBay. Like Peter I'll be adding some A/M goodies to the Build and I think I'll wait for Pheon's Decals; any estimate on release date yet Rowan??
Cheers,
Lance

Finding many of my old brush paints have dried up or ran out so trying some new options - already the Vallejo Wood and Leather set below has proven useful today - lots of colors applicable to WW1 Modelling. Also the Copper State Oberursel URII arrived and will dig into that shortly.....

Many of you folks know that I actually do not build kits, as I only do scratchbuilds, but... This time I simply could not resist from making myself happy. The S.E.5a is very special to me, so I had no choice but to buy the Eduard Royal Class. Actually a lot of value for the money, I have to say, two complete kits (Hisso and Viper version), resin parts (including MG's)...

... and this little RFC goodie. :) Cheers, guys.

I havent been too active in the WWI side of modeling, actually I havent been too active in much lately. But I did get a new tool and a neat little bird.

Ignore the green target under it. I love this cutter even though it ended up being expensive. I tried making masks for a 1/35 Fi 156 IP and was quite thrilled with the results.

Please excuse the poor photography.

Oops sorry. I got mine through a new online store in the US. http://shadowhobby.com/tlcc-000-thinnerline-circle-cutter.html
Its not a bad price but with the extra blades and shipping and exchange it became expensive.
The ruler on it isnt the best so some experimentation will be needed to make the proper size mask. Still its well made and makes cuts that I have never been able to do before.
