I have spent my recent modelling time on painting, masking and shading. It is not finished yet but I decided to show a small update of this project. The under surfaces are basically done, as can be seen on the tailplane, only some wash will be applied at the end. The shading was done with a brown-clear mix.

The upper surfaces are now ready for shading - taping the ribs and formers and false ribs, etc. took me three busy evenings. I have still not decided if the shading will be done with a black-clear mix or a darker brown shade. I have the spare tailplane ready as an experimental polygon.




The metal and wood panels are masked because I wish to have them in a different shade and glossynees of chocolate brown than the linen surfaces, which are going to be brighter and mattish. Soon I will see if my idea worked out and will surely show it to you.
