Home made wing jig
« on: June 25, 2013, 05:34:15 PM »
Not sure where I can buy a wing jig so I made my own from 7 sliding bevels ($2.50AUD each) and some allen bolts and nuts. I will test it on my current build of an Albatros D.III. Hope it works... :-\ I'll post results.

What a great idea, Fred.  That is essentially the basis for most of the commercial jigs I've seen.
Cheers,
Bud

Ingenious! I was looking at using cabinet sliding support stays but this is much simpler and cost effective. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Cheers,

Very clever idea Fred, I will be very interested in seeing the results of your trial on your Albatros build.

Thanks for the kudos, gents.  :D If anyone makes their own I'd like to see some photos.

I'll be ready soon to give this jig a try.
