Thanks for the fascinating photos Jacek. One thing I forgot to ask came in relation to the close-up of the tyre in the first batch you posted. It looks incredibly light in colour. Whilst I realise that long gone are the days when we think of tyres as either black or very dark grey, would you say that the photo has captured the colour as you saw it?

This is such a big learning curve for me!

Thanks very much Jacek for adding to the photos you already posted, it has made a very good reference material.

The white/ish tyres look very authentic Nigel, many archive photos of the old aircraft showed many of them with similar coloured tyres.

A few days ago I saw this plane, I can confirm that these tires so just looks. :)
By the way, I invite you all to the museum in Krakow, as I was told  27-07-2014 new exhibition of the planes of WW will be open I.  ;D
