I love your build! I always wait for the next update on the main page. Your work is so neat and sharp! Will you be adding some weathering to this model>??
I wish I could find a kit of a Caudron G3 in 1:48... the only one I know costs hell too much for me!
Two thumbs up!
Best regards
Filip

After a couple of months without coming into this forum, this new build is simply... breathtaking (like all the previous ones!)

Thanks very much for all the kind comments, they are greatly appreciated.

I have painted the fabric on the fuselage tub and as can be seen in the photos there is still a very good transparency through the ''fabric'' allowing the fuselage frame work to show through, I quite like the result. The engine is now fixed in position but I still need to do more work on the bottom wing before it can be attached to the fuselage.

Des, that is just lovely. I especially like the lazyboy at the back! It looks comfortable enough to stretch out in and enjoy the view...

  Des,
I absolutely love how your transparency of the fabric looks my old friend. Overall massively impressive project. I'm looking forward to seeing how you manage the booms.

Truly stunning work, Des.  I know I say this with each of your builds, but this is shaping up to be your best yet.
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks very much for all your kind comments, they are really appreciated.

I have started work on the undercarriage/tail booms. I am using 1.5mm solid square brass for the booms for strength. I will be using four of Steven Robsons brilliant spoked wheels for this build and as you can see I have one side of the undercarriage nearly done. The supports for the underwing mounting are made from 1.0mm brass tube, these will be painted black while the booms will be made to look like timber. The photo of the wheel assembly sitting under the boom is wrong, the axle of the wheel will actually sit on top of the boom with bungee cords lashing it to the boom.

More drooling here too. Outstanding work on the booms and gear. Absolutely love those spoked wheels.
